Obituary of Lorna J Wright
Clinton, NY – Lorna J. (Spearman) Wright, 86, passed away on March 5, 2018 at The Lutheran Home.
She was born March 2, 1932 in Plattsburgh, New York the daughter of the late Frank and Mary Spearman. She graduated from the St. John’s Academy and devoted the next 25 years of her life as a music teacher with the Sisters of Mercy in New York City. One of her greatest joys was marching with her school band every single year in the NYC St. Patrick’s Day parade.
In 1982 she married Richard Wright and they had so many great times together. She went on and received her Masters degree in Occupational Therapy. She started the Occupational therapy program at Herkimer County Community College where she taught until her retirement.
Lorna is survived by her husband Richard Wright of Clinton, NY; and a sister Sandra Knopf of Bloomfield, NY, three step children, many grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister Elaine Rushford of Keeseville, NY.
Funeral services will be private and there will be no public calling hours. Burial will be in Lake Placid, NY in the Spring. Arrangements by Owens-Pavlot & Rogers Funeral Service Inc., Clinton.
