I did not know Dawn as well as I should have. She was quiet, but she had a caring intelligence that was obvious after talking to her. I saw her a few weeks ago, asked her if she could stop by a group we were trying to get off the ground. I was so saddened to learn of her untimely death. We are all saddened by your leaving us.

Dawn and I went to high school together but it wasn't until we took fitness classes at the same studio that I really got a chance to know her better. She was so relatable and within just a few minutes we realized we shared a lot in common. I am inspired by her legacy and what a dynamic a woman she was: smart, bilingual, a performer, fitness instructor, entreprenurial, incredibly compassionate, and on and on. I will miss Dawn and am grateful to have known her. My thoughts and prayers are with your family.

To Dawn's Family:

Sue and Randy,
I am so sorry for the unimaginable grief you are both going through. Dawn was always one of my favorite people. She had such a quirky personality and never held back from her opinion or to ask a question. She never beat around the bush. Those I felt were her true gifts as a young person.
I am so sorry I never knew her as the truly inspirational adult she grew into. Reading her tribute I feel the world has lost another good one.

My eyes filled up with tears as I heard the news.
It never occurred to me how much I could lose.
I find myself wishing that it wasn't real.
Every time I think about it, pain is all I can feel.
Tears fall from my eyes; I can barely see,
But my heart tells me that she'll always be with me.
I'm glad she feels no pain now; she lives in a perfect land.
