Mary Bord (DeLong), 91, of Clinton, passed away on February 2, 2016 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center with her family by her side. She was born August 29, 1924 to Harry and Pauline Rathbun in Utica. She was educated in Utica schools and worked at Rhodes General Hospital during World War II. On April 23, 1946, she married Robert DeLong and lived in several towns in northern New York State. They finally settled in Westmoreland, where Robert passed in 1976. Mary worked as a secretary in the office of Westmoreland Central School for many years and had many fond memories of her time there. In August of 1992, she married Richard F. Bord, who predeceased her in December of 2009. Mary led a very full life and enjoyed her children and grandchildren. Her home was always open to friends and she was like a mother to many. She is survived by her three children and their spouses, William and Lisa DeLong, Mark and Sharon DeLong and Cindy Gatesman; four stepchildren Ken, Judy, Connie and Don Bord; eleven grandchildren and their spouses, Phoebe (Chuck) Horsman, Clark DeLong, Zachary DeLong, Craig (Amy) Markowicz, Christopher (Michele) Markowicz, Mark (Joni) DeLong, Misty (Dan) Vassallo, Alan (Shelly) Dee, Jason (Becky) Dee, Austin Dee, Darren (Cheryl) Dee; fifteen great-grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren. In keeping with her wishes there will be no calling hours. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family with arrangements by Owens-Pavlot & Rogers Funeral Service, Inc., Clinton, NY.
