Obituary of Ian M. Anderson

Ian M. Anderson, former Clinton Comet, passed away on November 20, 2013 with his loving family by his side. Ian was born in Kirkland Lake, Ontario, Canada, the son of Ernest and Florence Anderson. He came to the United States as a young man to play professional hockey and ended his career as the memorable "Enforcer" of the great Clinton Comets. He married the former Robin Owen in 1980. Of that union, they had a son Jordan, who was the greatest treasure of Ian's life. Ian is also survived by his elder children, Ian, Scott, Janice and Julie; his brothers Brian and Bevan of Canada; brother-in-law, Joseph Herman and family; sister-in-law, Carole Owen and many close friends especially John Calidonna and his family and Warren Evans. He held a special bond with his former hockey team mates. Hockey truly is a brotherhood. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:30am Saturday, November 23, 2013 at St. Mary's Church in Clinton, with burial at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. All are invited to call Friday from 4-7pm at Owens-Pavlot & Rogers Funeral Service, Inc, 35 College St., Clinton.
