I always called him "Uncle" Howard, but that was a generational thing, as his wife and I were Cousins. Yes, I also called her "Aunt" Joan! But, Uncle Howard was a very Smart Man. He worked for Grumman and was part of the team that worked on the LEM. He also helped me to get my job at Grumman. Being Family, I've known him all my life. In Elementary School. he was a Cub Scout Leader. My favorite memory came at a get together at his house when I was in High School, and he was fooling around squirting people in his pool with a hose. Well, he got too close to the edge and I just happened to be standing behind him and the moment hit me.... a slight shove at the right moment, and he went in! Very Very Funny.
He was also very Meticulous, especially when he was making things out of Wood. He would sit there and tell me in detail how he shaped different things.
It was fascinating. I have a few of his items in my Home. And then, there were the times when Howard relaxed: Novembers at our Family Property, when He and Ward would come up and Hunt for Deer. The conversations were limitless. Sometimes educational, sometimes humorous, but those are the things I remember. I've got two photos to add. The one of the family was the last time I saw him.

Uncle Howard was a great man father brother to his Sister and a phenomenal woodworker who enjoyed taking pleasure in making items for his family which we will always treasure and have to remember him for.
