I used to work with Peg for 6 years at a small nonprofit and she was one of the nicest and smartest people I've ever known. Although the times we worked together were sporadic when visiting schools or at meetings when she commuted to the Hudson Valley, she always provided great advice and mentorship. Those learning experiences led to having a positive impact that I'll never forget.
To share a memory was in 2013 when Peg and I visited a random diner in Wellsville New York right before visiting a school in the morning. During that time I learned that she attended Alfred University and not to worry about getting a parking ticket in rural business areas. We had the only 2 parked cars on the street and I asked Peg, "Do you think we're going to get a ticket?". She had a puzzled look and said "HERE... no way! You need to get out of the city more".
Peg will be missed and my sincerest condolences to her family and friends as we lost a kind and genuine soul.

Jim and Peggy were such wonderful people and it is hard to digest that they have both passed now. Knowing them was an honor and I am glad to see their children doing so well in life. The Dowling family will be in my heart forever.

Dear Katie and Patrick and Anne and Julia - There are so many memories of the friendship with your mom that I treasure in my heart - from those wonderful summers at the beach to the annual Christmas party at the bar. She was one of a kind. Touched many lives with her love and humor, and strength. I will cherish her memory always.
With love,
Mary McGuirl

To the Dowling family,
I am sorry to hear about your mom's passing away. I remember meeting her when Ann was a baby. I also miss going to your dad's bar and conversing with him. May your mom rest in peace.

So sorry to hear about Peg .. I had the pleasure of working with her for many years at Jefferson School. She was always so kind , helpful and a great mentor to everyone at Jefferson. She was always available to help with any need the teachers had . Her beautiful smile and laugh helped us get through any difficult days we had ! She shared her love of reading with so many teachers and kids ! Blessings to your family ! Devra Stalker

Hello to all of Peggy's kids and family! I am the daughter of one of Peg's best friends, Vicki Anderson. Peggy was such an amazing friend of my mom's for decades, and I know how much their friendship meant to her. I have very fond memories of seeing Peggy through the years. She was always so kind to me and I know she had a heart of gold. May she rest in peace. Sending prayers and best wishes, Kristen Sesto & family (from London, UK).

I was Pegs hairstylist for many years.
Through those years we had many conversations.
Peg always had an answer to whatever questions I had .
She told me about her family and the things that were going with her children.
She was an amazing person!
I am a better person because of her!
She cared about me and my family too.
Her spirit will be with me forever!
