My memories of Rod go back many years. I met Rod and Ruth through my best friend Barbara who is Ruth’s sister. Over the years, I visited their home many times in Utica as well as their wonderful cabin Twin Willows. Rod always made me feel welcome and at home. He was not a man of many words, but we managed to have great conversations whenever we saw each other. My husband Steve also had the pleasure of meeting Rod and enjoyed his company as well. One of my fondest memories of Rod is his reading the Bible every morning at breakfast after Ruth read Our Daily Bread. What a beautiful tradition they established in their home. Rod loved the Lord and it makes me happy the he is now enjoying eternal rest in Heaven.
