Being first cousins of the large “baby boomers” generation, Jimmy and I held “special and spoiled” positions in large, first generation immigrant families: Many aunts, uncles, and cousins! Our faith-based parents were very fond of each other and a regular Sunday afternoon drive and visit to each other’s rural farming homes was a regular occasion. While our parents drank coffee and Danish pastries around the kitchen table, we”kids/cousins” competed for the best viewing position around the newest colored TV to watch Disney movie! Somehow along the way Jimmy gave me a nickname that unfortunately stuck: “Little Itch”. He always said it with a smile and a wink, a perpetual tease and prankster, his heartfelt love and genuine caring nature prevailed. RIP Cous’, save a seat for me…Loved you Jimmy Lee, Janis Jo J-R
