Obituary of Brooke Victoria Daskiewich

Please share a memory of Brooke to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Brooke Victoria Daskiewich, the beloved daughter of Daniel and Deborah (Petrie) Daskiewich, came into our lives on June 12, 2002 to complete the Daskiewich Family. Brooke had an imaginative and wild spirit from the start. We experienced her creative visions through her art, playfulness and countless lego creations. Brooke’s formal academic growth began at Westmoreland Central School, graduating in June 2020. During those years she found joy in playing volleyball, tennis, computer gaming with friends, traveling, being with family, game nights, camping, and through her artwork. Brooke had a strong work ethic, working for Burger King (Westmoreland) for two years until she started college at SUNY Morrisville. Brooke was the happiest when the whole family was together, playing games, being goofy and laughing with all of her siblings. Kind and loving, Brooke wore her heart on her sleeve and strived to support those in need. When Brooke became an aunt to Alex and Vonny, she met them on their level, became a positive role model and friend to each of them. Brooke had an innate desire to understand different cultures and languages. After learning to read, write and speak Japanese over the summer, Brooke decided to change majors to pursue aspirations of teaching English to students in Japan. When Brooke put her mind to something, she was fiercely determined, courageous and brave. Brooke will always be remembered for the love and kindness she offered to all who knew her. The strength and courage to be her true self inspired all. “You cannot fall if you don’t climb. But there is no joy in living your whole life on the ground.” - Unknown. Brooke’s spirit will live on with her parents; siblings: Aimee and Katy Johns (New Hartford); Kyle Zoeckler and Jessica Rauscher (Buffalo); Bryan and Brittany Zoeckler (Canastota) and Bryce Daskiewich (Westmoreland); her niece and nephew, Alex and Vonny Johns; and her grandparents, Alex Daskiewich (Boonville) and Joann Petrie (Verona Beach); as well as additional friends and family members that surrounded Brooke with love and support. Brooke was re-united with her nephew, Avery and grandparents, Dick Petrie and Greta Daskiewich on September 26, 2020. We ask that you join us in keeping Brooke’s spirit alive through random acts of kindness, practicing acceptance of others; and taking time to get to know and demonstrate love and support for others throughout life. Private services will be held for the immediate family. Please leave condolences at OwensPavlotRogers.com.
