I remember when Brooke came to the Oneida Travel Plaza. She said she was looking for a manager as she had an interview. Over her time here, she was so full of smiles and just brightened the room. I sadly did not get to say 'goodbye' to her as she left for college. She will be greatly missed by her plaza family here. The Daskiewich family has my deepest condolences.

I met Brooke when she came to the advising office at Morrisville to discuss changing her major. It was a pleasure to have met her this one time and to hear about her future career goals of teaching English in Japan. I was looking forward to working with her more during her time at Morrisville. My condolences to her family and friends. I am so very sorry for your loss.

Brooke will never be forgotten by the student body of Morrisville. As your family mourns the student body mourns in Zion. As you weep, we are weeping. As you hurt we hurt. We feel your heartache but cannot feel the depth of your family's pain. Please call upon us if you would like to talk and we shall weep together.
With love,
Leta L Pasternak

I met Brooke in the nursing lab just once and she was so personal and easy to talk with. She was excited to move onto English as a second language. I pray for her family, she will be missed always, but she will watch over them and help them to refind joy.
God Bless

Zagros posted a condolence
Thursday, October 1, 2020
It was a Thursday evening on the SUNY Morrisville campus when I first met Brooke; I sat with her and 3 other students for a couple hours and played UNO. I sucked at the game but Brooke was kind enough to remind me of what each card did every time I forgot. We did not talk much that night, but I thought about her several times after that Thursday evening thinking that I wanted to know a little more about her than her name and her plans to teach english in Japan. One day ( possible a few days before her passing) I left my dorm and started walking towards the Pit Stop, and although I did not have my glasses I saw Brooke walking about a 100 feet in front of me towards Seneca, her hair and hat were what made me recognize her despite my poor sight. She looked back at me couple of times but wasn’t sure if she had recognized me. I wanted to talk to her but she went inside Seneca so I kept walking to the pitstop and frankly was a little sad. I bought myself some snacks and as I was about to leave, I saw Brooke come out of Seneca. Happily, I said ’Hello Brooke, how are you?’ to which she replied ‘I’m good but i’m sorry I don’t remember your name’ and I said ‘it’s okay, my name is Zagros, you can call me Zag’ and then she remembered that we played UNO together. I said ‘lets play again some time’ to which she replied ’sure’.. good to see you, likewise, take care, take care.. Little did I know that it was the last time I was ever going to see her again. There are many more thoughts and feelings that I want to share but they would be rather pointless now; all I can say is that she had a gentle personality and a kind nature. I will remember her.
