Gloria K. "Ginger" Atherly, 66, of Clark Mills Rd, passed away Friday, September 10, 2010. She was born in Deansboro on November 10, 1943, a daughter of the late Robert and Laura Seelow Kelsey and graduated from Waterville Central School. In 1963 she was married to Willard A. Marsh. She was married to Joseph F. Atherly in 1996. The couple shared love, friendship and a passion for the game of golf. Ginger also loved to garden and especially enjoyed her time with her granddaughter, Nya. She was a member and Past President of the Clark Mills American Legion Post 26 Auxiliary where she devoted herself to community service. She was also Vice President of the Oneida County American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and a past member of the O.E.S. in Oriskany Falls. She is survived by her husband Joe; her five children, Becki Marsh and her partner Debbie Calhoun of Clark Mills, Bobbi Marsh of Syracuse, Jill Marsh of Waco, TX, David Marsh of Syracuse and Greg and JoAnn Marsh of Boston, MA; four grandchildren, Brittany and Sarah Marsh, Jon Hewitt and Mike Kitchen; two great-granddaughters, Nya and Nevaeh; her sister and brother-in-law, Rosemary and John Coleman of Vernon Center and several nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by her brother, Robert Kelsey. A Memorial Service will be held at 7pm Wednesday, September 15, 2010 at Owens-Pavlot & Rogers Funeral Service, Inc, 35 College St, Clinton. Friends are invited to call Wednesday from 4pm until the time of the service. Burial will be at 10am Thursday in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Clark Mills American Legion Post 26 Auxiliary will conduct services Wednesday evening at 6:30pm. Please consider donations to COCVAC, Clark Mills Fire Dept or a charity to benefit the community.
