Mary Ann Decker Clark Mills Mary Ann Wilcox Decker, 66, of Clark Mills entered the gates of heaven with her family by her side on Thursday, August 5, 2010 at the St. Elizabeth Medical Center. She was born the daughter, of the late John H. and Luella Sauer Wilcox on August 13, 1943 in Lowville, NY. Mary Ann graduated from Westmoreland High School and attended USC and MVCC Colleges. She married LeRoy O. Decker on April 29, 1990 in Westmoreland. Mary Ann was a member of the Church of Annunciation in Clark Mills. She enjoyed crafts, reading, shopping, wandering the outdoors, and spending time with her family and her beloved cat, Sugar. Mary Ann especially enjoyed the time with her family, who were the center of her world. The many traveling adventures she went on with Roy brought her great joy and many cherished memories. "When the storm comes in and the rain falls fast, when the wind tries to knock you down it is then that you dance in the rain, play in the mud, and hold tight to the ones you love." Mary Ann, a devoted wife, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, sister, and friend, is survived by her husband, Roy; five children, with the late Peter C. Hubal Jr., and their spouses, Shelley and James Kinney, Clark Mills, Lawrence and Melinda Hubal, Forestport, Rebecca and James McConnell, Clinton, Robert and Ludean Hubal, Westmoreland, and Katrina Bach, Clark Mills; 15 grandchildren and their spouses, Amy and Scott, Tara and Chris, Amber and Travis, Joey and Stacy, Trevor and Katie, Brandon, John, Tyler, Kimberly and Tyler, Danielle, Venessa, Robert Jr., Bailey, Emily, and Donte; 6 great-grandchildren, Jaylen, Tayler, Trae, Domenik, Payton, and Logan; 7 step-children and their families, Kevin and Barbara Decker, GA, L. Christopher Decker, Valatia, Timothy and Anne Decker, Deerfield, Michael Decker, Vernon Center, Michele Buddle, Chadwicks, Jeffery Decker, NC, and Jennifer and Robert Dunlop, Utica; 12 step grandchildren; a brother and sister-in-law, Thomas J. and Patricia Wilcox; 4 nephews, Thomas J. Wilcox II, Scott, Shane, and Shawn Smith; relatives, and friends. She was predeceased by two sisters, Kathleen Wilcox and Teresa Smith and two nephews, James Wilcox and Steven Smith. Prayers will be held at Owens-Pavlot & Rogers Funeral Service, Inc. on Tuesday, August 10, 2010 at 9:15AM and a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00AM at the Church of the Annunciation in Clark Mills. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Monday, August 9, 2010 from 4-8PM at Owens-Pavlot & Rogers Funeral Service, Inc., 35 College St., Clinton. Interment will be made at Westmoreland Cemetery.
