Obituary of Elsie A LaManque

Elsie A. LaManque, 96, passed away on November 1, 2017 with her family by her side.

She was the daughter of Mabel Kirsch and Edward Northard.  On October 26, 1940, she was united in marriage to Freeman D. LaManque.  In her earlier years, she and her husband delivered the Utica Daily Press and for several years, she participated in various activities through the Westmoreland Fire Department.  Elsie truly enjoyed caring for her family and loved spending time with her children and grandchildren, most of all.

She leaves behind a son John (Joyce) LaManque; three daughters, Jean (Walter) Fedor, Nancy (Dale) Hartman and Helen Tyczynski; a daughter-in-law, Rebecca LaManque; son-in-law, Boyd Effland; sister, Mary Anne Miles; and a brother, Robert Northard.  She was blessed with several grand, great-grand and great-great grandchildren.  She was predeceased by her husband Freeman, a son Richard LaManque, a daughter Joan Effland, son-in-law Daniel Tyczynski and several sisters and brothers.

Private services will be held for the family with burial at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.   The family would like to thank the staff at St. Luke’s ICU and comfort care for their kindness.
