Robert D. Kilts "Luke", 62, passed away July 14, 2017 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center with his family by his side after a brief illness.
He was born September 3, 1954, a son of the late William and Rosemary Mackesey Kilts. Bob retired from Jefferson-Smurfit after many years of service.
He was an avid outdoorsman, who loved to hunt and go camping. Whenever he went fishing, he always caught more fish than anyone else. Bob loved spending time with his big family.
He is survived by his children, Marc and Leslie Zimmerman of Oneida, Jaime Kilts of Oriskany Falls, Kylee and Mark Slocum of Rome; eight grandchildren, Shelby, Brennan, Jared, Hunter, Amelia, Brayden, Teagan and Mason; two great-grandchildren; his brothers and sisters and their spouses, William and Barbara Kilts, James and Sharon Kilts, Kathy and Ron Decker, Rosemary and Jim March, Jack Kilts and Nancy Yates, Tom and Kimberley Kilts, Patty Kilts and Jim Davis, and David and Bridget Kilts; many nieces and nephews; and his close friends at the Hotel Solsville. He was predeceased by two sisters, Sherry Rice and Joanne Diehl.
All are invited to call Sunday, July 16, 2017 from Noon to 3pm at Owens-Pavlot & Rogers Funeral Service, Inc., 35 College St., Clinton, and stay for the Celebration of Life at 3pm. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
