Glenn F. Skinner, 87, of Lairdsville, NY died on May 19, 2017 at St. Luke's Hospital, Utica, NY. He was born on August 10, 1929 to Frederick J. and Mary Alice Treat Skinner in Auburn, NY, Mr. Skinner was a 1947 graduate of Clinton High School. He worked as a young teenager for Fred Suppee's garage. He worked at Utica Drop Forge and Tool Company for eight years. Glenn married Rose Carmella Kennedy and together they owned and operated Kennedy's Inn on Route 5 in Lairdsville, NY for over 40 years. Mr. Skinner was predeceased in death by his wife, Carmella, his father, Frederick J., his mother, Mary Alice Skinner Ingalls and his brother, Elwyn "Al" Skinner. He is survived by his niece, Debra J. (Richard) Pollic, Richland, NY, his niece, Janis L. (Samuel) Giordano, Hernando, FL, great-nieces: Lori (Jeff) Sewell, Woodstock, GA, Kristi (Kenneth) LaPoint, Liverpool, NY, Lawrence (Nina) Pollic, Pulaski, NY, Steven (Jen) Pollic, Lee, NY and several great, great nieces and a great, great nephew. Glenn is also survived by his best friend, Art Stoffle, Westmoreland, NY. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes that donations be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1000, Memphis, TN 38148, IN MEMORY OF GLENN F. SKINNER. Calling hours will be held at Owens-Pavlot & Rogers Funeral Service, Inc., 35 College St., Clinton, NY on June 1, 2017 from 12 to 2 PM will services to follow. Burial immediately following at Crown Hill Memorial Park.
