Obituary of Marthe A. Saville

– Marthe A. Saville, 76, passed away on May 9, 2017 at St. Luke's Home. She was born April 24, 1941 in Utica, the daughter of Jay and Lucille Cline Schafer. Marthe graduated from Clinton Central School with the Class of 1952. She was a trainer at Blue Cross/Blue Shield for many years and also worked at the AAA call center. Marthe was married to Bill Creaser with whom she had her three sons. She was married to Ronald Saville in 1985 until his passing. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and scrapbooking and was an avid reader. She opened her heart to everyone who came into her life. Her nurturing spirit was evident as a counselor and lecturer with Weight Watchers for 40 years. She is survived by her three sons and daughters-in-law, John W. Creaser and Kelly Alsheimerof Rome, Thomas R. and Jackie Creaser of Westmoreland and Timothy D. Creaser and his fiancée Cecilia Drake-Siedsma of Vernon Center; three children she raised with her first husband as their own, Jacqueline Chontos of Carmelle, NY, Roberta and John Florczyk of Westmoreland and James and Kathi Giedris of Falmouth, ME; stepchildren, Deborah Saville of Brooklyn, Jacqueline and Frederick Buck of Utica, Kelley and Jerry Hendricks of CO and Scott and Naomi Saville of Waterville; twenty grandchildren and many beloved great-grandchildren; her sister Louise Martin of Rome; her half-brother Richard Shafer of AZ and many special friends. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband Ronald, grandson Alex Saville and daughter-in-law Diane Creaser. Memorial Services will be held at 11am Saturday, May 13, 2017 at Owens-Pavlot & Rogers Funeral Service, Inc., 35 College St., Clinton. All are invited to call from 10am prior to the services. Burial will be in Crown Hill Memorial Park. One last wish from Marthe, "Love one another, as I have loved you".
