I was always glad to see Jerry when I came to the meetings of the Clinton Historical Society and times when I came to the historical society just to see what was going on. I and all the other members of the Clinton Historical Society will miss seeing him at all the meetings. The Clinton Historical Society will never be the same anymore and I and all the other members of the Clinton Historical Society will miss you.

What a beautiful tribute to your dad, Alicia! I do remember him and your mom from your student days in Brewerton. So sorry for your loss and the profound sadness you all are feeling.

My family and I met Gerard a handful of times through visits with Elaine, Dave and Joe. He was a very impressionable man with a wonderful sense of humor and a constant smile, he sure could brighten up a room. He was very generous, he was so kind to gift my young son some very special books and always bent down to say hello; he was a tall fella and our son was just a little guy when they met. My family and I feel blessed that we got to meet Gerard,

Dear Joneen, we were shocked and saddened to hear of Jerry’s death. He was a good friend and neighbor in Clinton, and we always enjoyed seeing the two of you and chatting about books and movies. We admired his work with the Clinton Historical Society.
We won’t be in Clinton to attend his memorial at the Historical Society, but we want you to know that we’ll be thinking of you and your family.

May God support us all the day long,
till the shades lengthen and the evening comes,
and the busy world is hushed,
and the fever of life is over, and our work is done.
Then in His mercy may He give us a safe lodging,
and a holy rest and peace at the last.
-Cardinal Newman
May you find peace and joy in celebrating Jerry's life as he is welcomed into the arms of our Heavenly Father.
Peace, John and Victoria
