David & Kim,
I am so very sorry for your loss. My one and only true riding instructor. I have such fond memories of your mom. Oh how I could make her yell at me! I don't think she ever knew how much I loved to make her smile when I finally did as I was told! :) She left an indelible mark on me and I have thought of her very often. What an incredible woman and I feel truly blessed to have known her.

Mia's first riding instructor, the woman who first nurtured Mia's love for horses, has passed away after an illness. And once again, I was left telling my six year old that another person she cares about has gone to be with God. How my heart just aches. Mrs Raposa, I wish I had five more minutes with you so I could tell you what's in my heart. Somehow I hope that you can look down and know this: Thank you for giving Mia the chance to explore her love for horses at such an early age. You gave her the opportunity to love horses, and not just the riding. She loves grooming them and taking care of them, which she learned from you. You nurtured her love for horses and that love just keeps growing. She adores you and looks up to you. Each year, she was beyond excited for horse camp. We will miss running into you at Agway and Mia will miss seeing you every summer. You will forever be remembered. It was you who inspired Mia to continue with a sport she has fallen in love with. I told her that you would be her guardian angel each time she rides...as I'm sure you will be to many. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for all you have done for Mia. I hope you have found peace and love in the comfort of God's arms.
Thank you Jean for caring so much for our granddaughter, Mia
