Obituary of Francis W. Brown

Francis "Frank" W. Brown, 79, of Pratt Ave., passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side on Tuesday, May 4, 2010.
He was born in Clark Mills on May 1, 1931, a son of David and Dorothy Samways Brown. After the death of his father, Frank was raised by his mother with the help of his step-father, Louis Pawalicki. Frank lived in Clark Mills his whole life and graduated from Clinton Central School. On May 18, 1957 he was united in marriage to Marlene F. Joseph at Church of the Annunciation in Clark Mills. Frank and Marlene shared a blessed union of 52 years as partners and best friends. They enjoyed traveling together and spending time with their family most of all. Frank retired as a supervisor from Special Metals after 35 years of service. He was a talented artist who expressed himself through painting. Each of his family members proudly hangs a piece of his work in their home. Frank also enjoyed his time on the golf course. He was a member of Church of the Annunciation.
He is survived by his beloved wife Marlene; a daughter, Karen Duxbury of Clark Mills; two sons and daughters-in-law, William and Leora Brown of Arizona and Gary and Melinda Brown of Charlotte, NC; two grandchildren and their spouses, Nicole and Andy Goodelle and Michael and Elizabeth Duxbury; two great-grandchildren, Natalie and Thomas and he was anxiously awaiting the birth of his third great-grandchild. He is also survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Lloyd and Jennie Brown of Clark Mills; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews; and his best friend Barbara Kreimeyer of Whitesboro. He was predeceased by his parents, father-in-law, Louis Joseph and his best friend Bob Kreimeyer.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30am Monday, May 10, 2010 at Church of the Annunciation, Clark Mills. A private burial service will be held at Kirkland Cemetery. There will be no public calling hours. Arrangements by Owens-Pavlot & Rogers Funeral Service, Inc, Clinton.
