Obituary of Blanche M. Brewer

Blanche M. Brewer, 89, originally of Rome, NY, passed away suddenly on Friday, July 10, 2015, in Waldorf, MD, after suffering a severe stroke. She was born on June 10, 1926 in Frankfort, Ohio, to the late Harry M. Bayless and Stella M. Lowe Bayless. Blanche outlived all of her five siblings.
Blanche was married for 69 years to the love of her life, James R. Brewer, who preceded her death on February 1, 2015. From this union, came three treasured children, Terry L. Woodfolk (Ronald); Tracy L. Brewer (deceased); and Stella M. Leonard (Joseph deceased). Proud grandmother of Rona L. and R. Erik Woodfolk, Cortez M. and Tracy F. Brewer, and Tami C. Leonard. Great-grandmother of Oren and Mockia (Deja) Brewer.
In addition to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Blanche leaves to mourn her loss, three sisters-in-law, Mamie Bayless (KS); Jean Evans and Pauline Randall (OH); "special sons" – Ron Woodfolk (MD); George Barnett (MO); and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The family will receive friends on Friday, July 17, 2015, from 3-7pm at Owens-Pavlot & Rogers Funeral Service, Inc., 35 College St., Clinton, NY. A viewing from 10am until the 11am funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2015, at Bartlett Baptist Church, 5639 Bartlett Road, Rome, NY.
The family requests that donations be made to the Bartlett Baptist Church in lieu of flowers.
