Dear Glenn and Linda,
Ang met your Dad and heard him play. She thought he was terrific.
I,Jim, can't begin to tell you how much I admired and respected Lee.
I was in high school when he went so far out of his way to cart me and so many others to Clark Mills Band practices, concerts and parades before we could even drive.
Decades later, whenever we ran into him, he still made us feel good just to see him and hear him speak of his forever love of music.
His was one of the greatest influences in my finding a career and life that gave me the kind of satisfaction that his music gave to thousands.
Lee planted and nourished the seeds of the love of music that grew in many of those of us who knew him. When it came to the saxophone, he blew it but when it came to living and giving to others, he was one of a kind.
Thank you, Lee. Please save me a spot in the band that I know you've started in Heaven.
