Obituary of Gail B. Morris

Gail B. Morris, 78, of Westmoreland, passed peacefully, February 16, 2015 after a gloves off battle with lung cancer. She was born April 27, 1936 in Stamford, Conn, the daughter of the late Charles and Barbara (Nicoll) Boynton. Gail attended Low Heywood HS, later graduating from Laselle Jr. College. Through a blind date, Gail met and married her husband Edward (Ted) Morris, who passed April 26, 2014. After 56 years of marriage, Gail's legacy lives on through her children: Edward (Ted) Morris Jr. (Maria) of Landenberg, PA; Sharon Piersall (Steven) of Binghamton, NY; Rev Heidi Morris-Cass (Cami) of Noblesville, IN; and Scott Morris (Kathy Dickenson) of New Hartford, NY; Grandchildren, Stephanie Crandall (Nick); Steven (JP) Piersall (Olivia Pappa); Sophia Morris-Cass; Great Grandchild, Landon Crandall. Gail is also survived by her sister, Linda & Bill Lynch of Hingham, Mass.; cousin Doris Reirdon of Stamford, Conn; In-laws Robert & Becky Morris of New Hartford NY; Hobart & Lois Morris of Brookfield, NY, April & William (Bucky) Reilly of Whitesboro NY; and many nieces and nephews.
While her children were in school, Gail enjoyed her many years working at The Party Card Shop in the New Hartford Shopping Center and later served as Clerk to the Town of Westmoreland Supervisor (Ted Morris). Gail was a past member and President of the Chapter AV P.E.O. Sisterhood, and a present member of the Clark Mills American Legion Ladies Auxiliary unit#26.
All are invited to call from 3-5 pm on Thursday, February 19, 2015 at Owens-Pavlot & Rogers Funeral Service, Inc., 35 College Street, Clinton. A celebration of life will be held at 5 pm at the funeral home. A private committal service will be held at the convenience of the family at her family's property in Brookfield.
