New Hartford – Rea Farrall, 85, formerly of Inverness Drive, passed away on Friday, January 23, 2015 at Lutheran Care. Rea was born in Buffalo on May 24, 1929, the daughter of Herman and Dorothy Juvelier. While pursuing her degree at Syracuse University, she met and fell in love with Clayton Farrall. They married at Hendrick's Chapel at Syracuse University on March 19, 1955, and have enjoyed 60 years of love and friendship. Together they raised their family in Potsdam, where Rea taught at Potsdam High School. She lived an active life – enjoying tennis, golf, and hiking into the great camps of the Adirondacks with Clayton. She was also an avid reader. Upon moving into Preswick Glen, she helped organize their library and was valued member of the Preswick chorus. Music was always an important part of her life. Rea loved her animals and raised six generations of her prized Siamese cats – all named Princess. She is survived by her loving husband, Dr. Clayton Farrall; her three children, Lynn Lowery and her companion Howard Land of NY, Laurie and Jim Mulert of Virginia, and Gregg and Lee Anna Farrall of Virginia; and two grandchildren, Elsa Mulert and Marcus Farrall. Friends are invited to join the family on Thursday, January 29, 2015 at 4pm in the Aberdeen Room at Preswick Glen to share your love and memories of Rea. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to Stevens-Swan Humane Society of Oneida County, 5664 Horatio St., Utica, NY 13502
