Robert J. Rogers, 74, of Syracuse, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 28, 2014 at the VA Medical Center.
He was born August 5, 1940 in Syracuse to the late Robert S. and Vivian (Bawn) Rogers and served in the US Marine Corps. On August 26, 1967, he was united in marriage to Carol Bryant. Bob retired from Service Liquors and was a member of the Teamsters Union #317 for 30 years.
He is survived by his wife, Carol; his son, his daughter and their spouses, Bob and Deli Rogers of Clinton and Denise and John Rabe of Canastota; three grandchildren, Casey and Jordan Rabe and Olivia Rogers; his brothers and sisters, Richard(Linda), Jeannette (Don) Dulasky, Nancy (Jerry) Gerace, Sue (Michael) Russo, Patricia (Tom) Dillon, Judy (Bud) Wolfe, George, Catherine Henderson, William (Rose), Kenneth (Sue), Kim Breed and Sherrie (Dave) Bird; numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, a sister Beverly Prince and a brother John Rogers.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:30am on Thursday, December 4, 2014 at Blessed Sacrament Church, 3127 James St., Syracuse. Burial with military honors will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. There will be no public calling hours. Arrangements by Owens-Pavlot & Rogers Funeral Service, Inc., Clinton.
