Betty Lucille Renew Spencer
Westmoreland
Betty Lucille Renew Spencer, 90, of Stop 7 Rd. in Westmoreland passed away on Friday, March 12, 2010 at her residence.
She was born the daughter of the late Joseph Lee and Ethel Huck Renew on June 15, 1919 in Utica. Betty graduated from Utica Free Academy. She married Roland T. Spencer on May 5, 1942 in Westmoreland. Roland passed away on July 18, 1992. Betty was an accountant/ bookkeeper for the Westmoreland Central School. She enjoyed Japanese Bunka and other needlework with her friends at the Rome Senior Center.
Betty is survived by her five children and their spouses; Joyce Hill of Sherburn, James Spencer of Wellesley Island, Peggy and Rev. Timothy Behrendt and children of Cold Brook, Marion and Edward Roberts of Remsen, and Barbara and Robert Knight of Westmoreland; a sister-in-law, Elinor Spencer of Rome; a nephew, Tom Spencer of Rutland,VT; 6 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; relatives and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to call Tuesday, March 16, 2010 from 2-4PM at the Owens-Pavlot & Rogers Funeral Service, Inc., 35 College St., Clinton. A Graveside Service will be held in Kirkland Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
