Obituary of Mary A. Barretta

Mary A. Barretta, 65, of New York Mills, passed away on Tuesday, August 26, 2014 at St. Elizabeth's, Utica. She was the first born, daughter of Frank and the late Eleanor Scotellaro Barretta on March 30, 1949 in Utica. Mary graduated from New Hartford High school in 1967. She married the love of her life, Carmen Barretta, on July 26, 1969 at St. Thomas Church, New Hartford. Where soon after they started their own family. Mary worked at Trenton Technology, Utica. She enjoyed many activities such as cooking, sewing, and spending time with her family and friends, especially at Tagasoke campgrounds. Mary is survived by her children and their spouses, Carmen and Erica, Utica, Todd and Kathleen, NYMills, and Ellie Barretta and Rickey Dickenson, FL; grandchildren, Erica, Bella, Madison, and Lukas Barretta; three brothers and their spouses, Frank and Lucy, Rome, Dennis and Wendy, Lowell, and Ray and Jackie Barretta, New Hartford; brother-in law and wife, Anthony and Linda Barretta, Marcy; many nephews, a niece; many relatives and special friends. She was predeceased by her in laws, Louis and Marie and a nephew, Marc Barretta. A memorial service will be held at St. Thomas Church, 150 Clinton Rd, New Hartford, NY,13413 on Saturday, August 30, 2014 at 10:00AM. Arrangements made by Owens-Pavlot & Rogers Funeral Service, Inc., 35 College Street, Clinton. The family extends their gratitude to Dr. Brehaut, Dr. Soults, and the nurses in the ICU at St. Elizabeth's, who took great care of Mary.
