Obituary of Debra A. Rolewicz

Westmoreland – Debra A. Rolewicz, 58, of Fairway Drive, passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on Thursday, July 10, 2014. She was born on October 12, 1955, a daughter of Charles and Lena (Roberts) Borden and graduated from Clinton Central School. She was married to Steven Rolewicz in 1995. Debra lived life to the fullest and loved being at camp, boating and hiking. She also enjoyed her bowling league, downhill skiing, playing cards and board games and watching her kids play soccer. Spending time, anywhere and for any reason, with her family and friends is what brought her the most joy. She loved her work with United Cerebral Palsy and made a real difference in the lives of the people she touched. She is survived by her husband, Steve; her three children, Shawn Yager of Oriskany Falls, Stacy and John Zinkovitch of Westmoreland and Morgan Rolewicz of Westmoreland; her two grandchildren, Aidan Yager and Devon Slaboc; her mother, Lena Borden of Oriskany Falls; sisters, Linda and Donn Croyle of Deansboro and Sheila and Paul Fitchette of Oriskany Falls; and many nieces and nephews. Debra also leaves numerous very special friends, including, Barb Gardener, Cheryl Crane, Cheryl Nestved, Donna Quinn, Jennifer Gray, Jody Hunt, Mary Shepherd, Diane Rice, Shawn Stephenson and Beth Witter. She was predeceased by her father. In keeping with Debra’s wishes, there will be no public funeral services. The family thanks their many friends and the community for the wonderful support given to them.
