Obituary of Eva M. Kelly

Eva Walker Kelly, 93, a longtime resident of South Street, passed away in Columbia, MD after a long illness. She was born in Bartlett, NY on May 23, 1916, a daughter of Frank S and Hattie Storey Walker. On August 24, 1944, she married Leo L. "Pete" Kelly at Church of the Annunciation, Clark Mills. They attended Church of the Annunciation and St. Anne's Church after moving to Whitesboro. Pete died on April 28, 1989. Eva was a member of the Westlanders, joined the Westmoreland Grange in 1935 and enjoyed her volunteer work at St. Luke's Hospital for over 30 years. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Dawn and TC Creek of Columbia, MD and Joan and Joseph Sassone of Florence, OR; two grandsons, John W. White and Jeffrey Russell; great-grandson, David Russell; and two sisters-in-law, Dorothy Walker and Mary Kelly. She was predeceased by her husband, Pete; sister, Gladys Coote Swald; brothers Carl and Mark Walker; and a grandson Donald White. Funeral services will be held 10am Wednesday, August 19, 2009 at Church of the Annunciation, Clark Mills, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Clinton. Friends are invited to call Tuesday from 5-7pm at Owens-Pavlot & Rogers Funeral Service, Inc, 35 College St, Clinton. The family would like to thank Elaine Margolis and the staff of the AAH-TUL Care, Ltd in Columbia, MD for the exceptional care given to Eva during her stay.
