Obituary of Joyce A. Robertson

Joyce A. Robertson, 75, of Vernon, passed away at home on Wednesday, January 22, 2014 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on July 15, 1938, a daughter of the late Harold and Gladys (Schwendy) Wheatley. She married James J. Robertson on October 27, 1956. Joyce enjoyed making crafts and knitting hats and mittens. She especially loved to spend time with her family and go camping at Verona Beach. She is survived by her husband, James; her two sons and two daughters, Bill Robertson and his wife Helen of Utica, Ralph Robertson of Utica, Kimberly Robertson of Augusta and Kelly Blue of Dunn, NC; thirteen grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; four brothers and two sisters, Harold Wheatley, Bill Wheatley, Jerrilynn Harper, Ronald Wheatley, Jackie Dust, Joleen Zehr, Bonita Kisner, Randall Wheatley and Lisa Wheatley; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son Jhon Robertson and two daughters Jymme Lynne Robertson and Juanita Doolen and a brother and a sister Richard Wheatley, and Junellen Barnes. Funeral services will be held at Noon Saturday, January 25, 2014 at Owens-Pavlot & Rogers Funeral Service, Inc, 35 College St., Clinton, NY. All are invited to call Saturday from 10am - Noon prior to the service. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery in the spring.
