Obituary of Peter R. Wood

Peter R. Wood, 78, of Deansboro/Augusta passed away unexpectedly on Monday, January 20, 2014 at Harding Nursing Home. Peter was born in Vernon, NY on March 28, 1935, the son of the late Franklin and Ruth (Dobbs) Wood. He was a graduate of Madison Central School. Peter was previously married to Jane (Hayward) Wood, before her passing is 2003. On October 23, 2004, he married Lueen Egan at First Presbyterian Church of Augusta & Vernon Center. Peter worked as an artificial inseminator and was well known throughout the county. He also worked at the Bank of Utica for many years. Peter was an avid bird watcher and belonged to the Utica Bird Club. He is survived by his loving wife Lueen Wood; and summer son, Bud Reynolds. Calling hours will be held from 2-4pm on Friday, January 24, 2014 at Owens-Pavlot & Rogers Funeral Service, Inc., 35 College Street, Clinton, with a Memorial Service to follow at 4:00pm.
