Obituary of Vincent H. Eager

Vincent H. Eager Sherrill Vincent H. Eager, 83, of Sherrill, passed away Wednesday, July 22, 2009 at his residence with his family by his side. He was born the son of the late Willis Clayton and Mary Elizabeth Sawner Eager on July 29, 1925 in Whitestown. Vincent graduated from Clinton High School and served in the US Navy during WWII. He married Luella M. Berger in Clark Mills on April 12, 1947. Vincent was a furnace operator at the Special Metals, Inc. in New Hartford. He was also a member of St. Helena's Church in Sherrill, the International Association of Machinist and Aerospace Workers, the Eaton Brook Homeowner's Association, and the CAC Bowling League. Vincent is survived by his wife, Luella; 2 daughters and a son, Marilyn E. and the late Paul Woo, of Raleigh, NC, Peter H. Eager of San Diego, CA, and Carol E. and Alfred Vervaert also of Raleigh, NC; a brother, Timothy Eager of Highland, CA; five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents, three brothers and four sisters. Private Services will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements by Owens-Pavlot & Rogers Funeral Service, Inc.
