True Slater, 70, of Herkimer, passed away Sunday, July 5, 2009 at Faxton-St. Luke's Healthcare with her family by her side.She was born in Utica on February 3, 1939, a daughter of the late Dr. Frank J. and Lina Wright Slater. The family appreciates the loving care True received from the wonderful staff of the Herkimer County ARC for over 20 years.She is survived by her sisters, Adele Slater Schwarz and her husband John Levy of Berkeley, CA and Jane Slater Johannsen and her husband Dyke of Tonder, Denmark; her brother John L. Slater and his wife Suzanne of Utica; and many nieces and nephews.Private burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery in Clinton. Arrangements by Owens-Pavlot & Rogers Funeral Service, Inc, Clinton. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to Herkimer Area Resource Center, PO Box 271, Herkimer, NY 13350.
