Dear Mr and Mrs Gee, I just wanted you to know how sorry I was to hear of Peter's passing. I remember him so fondly from his days swimming at the Clinton Pool, when he must have been about 10 or so. I think he swam there just about everyday, so we lifeguards got to know him a bit. He was such a big hearted kid. I hope you can find some solace in the fond memories so many of us have of Peter. Mr. and Mrs. Gee: I am so sorry for your loss. I remember Peter so fondly. He was so very funny and so very smart. He could make everyone/anyone laugh. I remember him doing a running flip over a soccer ball during a soccer game and distracting the opposing team, allowing the Clinton team to score. I remember his jam sessions in the basement of Jeff White's house. I know that Peter was troubled and tormented by the demons of mental illness and that he knew little peace during the last years of his life. I sincerely believe that he is at peace now. Again, I offer my sincere sympathies to you and your family at this time of grief. You are in my prayers. Fondest regards, Robin C. Zimpel-Fontaine

Mr and Mrs Gee, I often think of Peter and what a fun and unique person he was. We lost touch years before he passed, but I often think about him and if I could have helped in some way. I am a passionate mental health advocate turned caseworker who works with people with severe mental illness and I think of Peter a lot. He was such a bright light and talented person. I’m so sorry for your loss.
