Obituary of Lucy L. Dreyhaupt

Lucy L. Dreyhaupt, 82, of New Hartford, passed away Saturday, January 17, 2009, at the Presbyterian Home for CNY. She was born April 5, 1926, in Otisco, NY, a daughter of William and Louise Larkin Cain. Lucy graduated from Otisco and Tully Central Schools and the St. Joseph School of Nursing in Syracuse in 1947. On May 22, 1948, at St. Patrick's Church in Otisco, she was united in marriage to Kenneth R. Dreyhaupt. Lucy worked as a Registered Nurse at St. Joseph's Hospital, Queens General Hospital and after 22 years at Astoria General Hospital, she retired in 1988. She was a member St. Thomas Church, New Hartford. She is survived by her husband, Kenneth; two daughters, a son and their spouses, Rita and Michael Prior, of Fresh Meadows, NY, Ellen Dreyhaupt, of Clinton, and Kenneth R. and Eleanor Dreyhaupt Jr., of Flushing; and seven grandchildren, Bryan, Christopher, Andrew, Zachary, Laura, Geoffrey and John. Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, January 20, 2009, at St. Thomas Church, Clinton Rd, New Hartford, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Spring burial will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery in Otisco. Friends are invited to call Monday (today) from 4-7 p.m. at Owens-Pavlot & Rogers Funeral Service, Inc., 35 College St., Clinton.
