Obituary of Elinor E. Seymour

Elinor E. Seymour Whitesboro Elinor E. Seymour died Saturday, January 16, 2010 on her 91st birthday with her family by her side. She was born in Logan, SD, a daughter of Clarence F. and Ruby Miles Kern. Elinor was a teacher in a one-room schoolhouse on the Rosebud Reservation. In Pierce, South Dakota, she married Joe Seymour on October 24, 1942. Mr. Seymour died June 10, 1961. Elinor retired from Mather, Evans & Diehl after many years. She attended Clark Mills Methodist Church. She is survived by her four daughters, Beverly Merriman of Westmoreland, Carol and Charles Bidinger of Kingman, AZ, Mary Kilpeck of Whitesboro and Patricia and Jim Siegfried of Paris Hill; her son John Seymour and Carol Sauka of Rochester and Ponce Inlet, FL; fifteen grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren and a nephew Jim Griffin. She was also predeceased by two sons-in-law, Jerry Merriman and Michael Kilpeck and her sister Phyllis Griffin. Funeral services will be held at 11am Thursday, January 21, 2010 at Owens-Pavlot & Rogers Funeral Service, Inc, 35 College St., Clinton. Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery.
