James C. Stagner, 80, of Fairway Drive, died at home on Wednesday, December 10, 2008.He was born in Blossvale on August 15, 1928, a son of the late William Earl and Myrtle Duvall Stagner. In 1958 he married Marjorie Thieme. Since 1955, Jim worked as a self-employed cattle hauler.He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Marjorie; his daughter and son-in-law, Jamie "Weegie" and Robert Owen of Vernon; his son Stacy "Shocker" Stagner of Vernon and his special friend Cindy Schreckengost; his grandchildren, Brandon and Jesse; a sister, four brothers and their spouses, Beverly Scott, Don and Ann Stagner, Henry Stagner, Ken and Katherine Stagner and Jerry and Carol Stagner all of Blossvale; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son Brad "Boogie" in 1971, his brother "Buster" and sister "Mickey".Funeral services will be held 11am Saturday at Owens-Pavlot Funeral Service, Inc., 35 College St., Clinton. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Westmoreland. Friends are invited to call Friday from 2-4 & 7-9pm at the funeral home.
