Clayton G. Halwig, 66, passed away on Monday, October 20, 2008 at home with his loving family by his side.
He was born on September 18, 1942, the son of the late Charles and Natalie Halwig. He graduated from Remsen High School in 1962. On July 26, 1969, he married Patricia Treonze. Clayton retired from Utica Psychiatric Center after 30 years of service. He was a minister of Jehovahs Witnesses and loved baking for his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia; his children and their spouses, Mark and Song Brockway of S. Korea, Tracy and Matt Pryputniewicz of Clinton and Todd and Manya Brockway of Clark Mills; eight grandchildren, Jesse and Vania Brockway, Ariana, Alissa and Spencer Pryputniewicz and Ryan, Jacob and Emily Brockway; his two sisters and two brothers, Carol Kirk, Barbara Miles, Neil Halwig and Keith Halwig.
A memorial service will be held at 4:30pm on Sunday, October 26, 2008 at Kingdom Hall on Potter Road, Rome. There will be no public calling hours. Arrangements by Owens-Pavlot Funeral Service, Inc.
