George Edwin Ed Weston, 72, of South Street, passed away Monday, October 20, 2008 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center after a brief illness.
Ed was born on February 15, 1936, the son of George and Ethel Mahaney Weston and was a graduate of Clinton High School. On August 16, 1958, he was married to Doris Schram. Ed retired from NYSDOT in 1992 after 25 years of service and he was also a sign maker for 40 years. Known as a multi-talented handyman, Ed was capable of fixing or building just about anything. He was a very kind-hearted man who would lend a hand to anyone and truly enjoyed tinkering on his trucks. He was a member of the Power of the Past Club and the CNY ATHS. Ed was a good and loyal husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend.
He is survived by his children, Vicki Weston and her fianc Edward Demenezes, II, and Todd and Kim Weston; three grandchildren, Anthony Weston and Edward III, and Emma Demenezes. He was predeceased by 6 months of his loving wife of 49 years, Doris and a grandson Nicolas Weston.
Funeral services will be held at 11am Thursday, October 23, 2008 at Owens-Pavlot Funeral Service, Inc., 35 College St., Clinton, NY. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Barneveld. Friends are invited to call Wednesday from 4-7pm at the funeral home.
