Obituary of Lavina Sweet

Lavina R. Sweet 83, of Clinton Street, died Sunday, October 5, 2008, at University Hospital Syracuse. She was born in Rome on December 28, 1924, the daughter of Earl and Pearl Whipple Clark and was educated in the Rome schools. In Rome December 24, 1946, she married Paul R. Sweet. The couple had resided in Deansboro for many years. Mr. Sweet died in 1988. She was a member of Queens Village Bible Church in Camden. She is survived by a daughter Helen Shaw of Blossvale and two sons and daughters-in-law Roger and Sharen Sweet of Whitesboro and Robert and Barbara Sweet of Talladega, AL; also five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Graveside services will be held Wednesday at 12:00 Noon at Butternut Valley Cemetery, Gilbertsville. There will be no public calling hours.
