Obituary of Dorothy L. Myers

Dorothy Myers, 92, of Clinton, passed away Friday, September 19, 2008 at the Martin Luther Nursing Home. She was born in Rome on March 16, 1916, a daughter of John and Emma Meyers Fletcher. She married George A Myers on May 15, 1937, a union of over forty years until his death in 1978. The couple had lived in Stittville. She was then married to Charles Myers on February 16, 1979 until his death in 1995. Dorothy lived in Rome for many years and then lived at the Clinton Manor for the last 8 years before moving to the nursing home this past spring. She is survived by her seven children and their spouses, Paul (Joyce) Myers of Port Charlotte, FL, Dorothy (Tom) DeVine of Caro, MI, Ronald (Mary) Myers of Bradenton, FL, Howard (Regina) Myers of Endicott, Margaret (Tom) Washbon of Townsend, DE, George Myers of Battle Creek, MI and JoAnn (Bob) Grzesik of Chadwicks, NY; 20 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by her sisters, Rosella and Helen and her brother John. Graveside services will be held at 10am Tuesday, September 23, 2008 at the Chapel at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
