I was saddened to read of the passing of George. I worked for him when he owned Indian Wells Restaurant in Sylvan Beach. George was a Great Boss. While there I got to know several of his family members which I enjoyed working with them all. Even though I have not seen or heard from any of the family in many years, You are all in my thoughts and prayers at this time of sorrow. George will be sadly missed by anyone that ever knew him or got to work with him.
May God Bless You and be with you at this time.
Sincerely,
Nancy (Hina) Woeltje

Sonny and I were competitors in a Babe Ruth baseball league in Utica, New York. I was a pitcher and he was the most feared batter in the league. His father, Jack, and my father, Emil Hill, a former Utica banker, were consistent members of a golf foursome that played golf all over central New York State. The other members of the foursome were Gordon Greystone and Ted Furgol, whose brother was Ed Furgol, who won the United States Open in the 50's. All were excellent golfers. They dragged me around as their caddy.
I was not a close friend of Sonny's but was shocked to hear of his death. I retired as a lawyer in San Francisco and moved to Cocoa Beach in 2001.
My condolences.

So Blessed I was to have known you the past few years, George you were a very important person in my life.
Though sadness cannot last forever , loving memories do. Knowing all the angels must be smiling, because you are among them,in another home,in a happier place,in a beautiful forever.
Till we meet again, miss you my friend ...
Always P.J.

Wow, I did not realize you were gone. I had tried to contact you on a few occassions, but never did I think you had left this place. You were a man so incredibly full of life. George, if you can hear this, I want you to know that I am in an MFA writing program and I still plan to write that book -- it will be a different book now, but you inspired me like no other. May the stars light your way.
Peace, my friend,
Deb Alberto
