John Martin, Sr, 88, of Maxwell Rd, passed away with his family by his side at Community Memorial Hospital in Hamilton on Monday, July 14, 2008, joining his wife Audrey who died on July 5th.
He was born in Clinton, on December 31, 1919, a son of John and Fern Tuttle Martin. On November 26, 1949, he married Audrey Cushman at First Baptist Church of New Hartford. The couple resided on Maxwell Rd and ran the family farm together.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, John and Eileen Martin Jr. of Clinton; three grandchildren, John Martin III of Vernon, Jennifer Martin of W. Winfield and Trischa Martin of Clinton; a great-granddaughter, Rebecca Nichols; his brother Ken Martin of Sauquoit; and many nieces and nephews.
