Obituary of Loretta M. Bunger

Loretta M. Bunger, 88, of Martin Road, passed from this world on January 11, 2014. Born in the same house as her mother, she grew up in Northeastern New Jersey - four miles from her future husband, Dennen Bunger, whom she met and married when they were both in their early 20's. They shared life together for 67 years. Loretta was guided by a faith in Jesus Christ passed on to her by her loving parents and from an early age showed a keen awareness of personal ethics. While initially unsure about moving the family to Central New York in the mid-1950's - she soon treasured the various forms of beauty she found here. Her vocation in life centered around her family. She was employed as an office worker, a bank teller and also started and ran a local small business. "Rett" is survived by her husband Dennen and three sons: Denn (and Moyra) Bunger of Manlius, Fr. Kevin Bunger of Clark Mills, and John (and Deborah) Bunger of Clinton; five grandchildren: Jason (and Nikki), Adam (and Sofi), Kaitlin, Taryn and Jordan and two great-grandchildren: Sydney and Griffon. She is also survived by her brother Joseph Mosher (Mississippi) and sister Helen Civil (Florida) with whom she spoke daily. A Mass will be offered for Loretta on Wednesday - January 15th at 10:00 am at the Church of the Annunciation in Clark Mills. All are invited to call Tuesday (today) from 4-7pm at Owens-Pavlot & Rogers Funeral Service, Inc, 35 College St., Clinton. The Rosary will be recited Tuesday from 4:00-4:20pm.
