Obituary of William Paul Kerr

William Paul Kerr, 83, formerly of Norway, NY, passed away on September 14, 2024. 

He was born in Utica on February 9, 1941, a son of the late William H. and Dorothy (Remonda) Kerr.  Bill served his country with the United States Marine Corps, traveling the world and serving with the Military Police.  In 1971 he was united in marriage to Marilyn Terrazas.  They lived in California for many years and raised their family.  Upon return to New York State, they settled in Norway, NY and enjoyed the peace and solitude of their mountain-top home.  Bill worked at MVCC for many years.   

He is survived by his stepson and daughter-in-law, David and Rita Terrazas of Clinton; grandchildren, Melissa Terrazas and her wife Cass Chase, Rachel Terrazas, Tricia Hotaling and James Ellis; great-grandchildren, Charlotte, Reagan and Jackson Hotaling; his sister and brother-in-law, Gayle and Roger Locke; and many nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by his wife Marilyn, his brother Robert Kerr and his stepchildren, Ervin, Greg, and Diana Hane.  His dogs Chauncey and Bridget always held a special place in his heart. 

Graveside services will be held at 12:00pm Noon on Thursday, September 19, 2024 at Crown Hill Memorial Park.  Arrangements by Owens-Pavlot & Rogers Funeral Service, Clinton.
