Please share a memory of Robert to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Robert L. Stone, 68, of Whitesboro, passed away August 16, 2024, at Strong Memorial Hospital.

He was born in Carthage, NY on March 31, 1956, a son of the late Albert J. and Georgia (Wetmore) Stone.  Bob attended Town of Webb Schools was a “Jack of all trades” who could fix or build just about anything.  His natural abilities led him to start his own business, Bob Stone Carpentry. Bob was always willing to help someone in need.  He will be remembered for his quick whit and sarcasm.  He enjoyed quiet times reading and watching tv, but especially loved spending time with his family.  Bob was meticulous when it came to tending his lawn and landscaping.  He also had a great love for his country and would remind us all of the importance of getting out to vote.

He is survived by his wonderful wife, Sandi; sidekick Tippi the cat; his sisters, Janice Stelzer, Pat Smith Nancy Nichols, Rita Jones, and Diane Stone; sister-in-law Carol Koren; brother-in-law John Barker; and many nieces and nephews and their families, including a special niece Jessica Jones.  He was predeceased by his parents; brother William Stone; sisters Donna Zehr, Sue Crandall, and Carole Blystone; and his mother-in-law Laverna Barker.

All are invited to call Saturday, August 31, 2024 from 10:30-11:30am at Owens-Pavlot & Rogers Funeral Service, 35 College St., Clinton.  A Memorial Service will follow at 11:30am at the funeral home.  Burial will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, please consider donations in Bob’s memory to Rome Humane Society or the Whitesboro Fire Department.
