Obituary of Beverly Ann Tallman

Beverly (Colman) Tallman, passed away on Friday August 16, 2024 in the comfort of her own home.

She was born in West Schuyler, NY, on September 15,1930 the eldest daughter of Edward B. and Gladys (Willis) Colman. In 1939 she moved with her family to Oriskany Falls. She graduated from Oriskany Falls High School. In 1947 she married Frank W. “Bud” Tallman a union which lasted for 68 years until his death in 2015.

For 21 years she worked for Chesebrough Ponds and then for Sherwood Medical, retiring from there in 1992. She was a member of the Oriskany Falls United Methodist Church and its UMW, the Limestone Ridge Historical Society, and a past member of the Oriska-Valley Senior Club with whom she enjoyed many bus trips. For many years she wrote for the Waterville Times.

She is survived by her children, Bethany (Allan) Winner of Bouckville, Debra (Richard) Barnes of Waterville, Barry (Jean) Tallman of Oriskany Falls, Douglas of Oriskany Falls, Terrance (Rose) Tallman of Nicholasville, KY, and Brian (Teresa) Tallman of Waterville; 11 grandchildren,18 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Frank W. “Bud” Tallman; sons, Frank Scott and David Edward; sisters and brothers-in-law, Carol and Donald Petrie, Joyce and Robert Slocum; grandson, William (Hondo) Frederick III; and step grandson Gregory May.

The family would like to thank the Hospice nurses for the excellent care they gave our Mother. Adhering to her wishes there will be no calling hours or funeral service. Please consider donations to the Oriskany Falls United Methodist Church or the Madison Ambulance in her memory. Arrangements have been entrusted to Owens-Pavlot & Rogers Funeral Service in Clinton.
