Donna M. Potter, 77, passed away with her loving family by her side, on Monday, August 12, 2024, at Bethany Gardens Rehabilitation Center.

Donna was born in Utica on October 5, 1946, a daughter of the late Richard and Grace Hubley. She was educated in New Hartford School District, and worked for General Electric for many years, until she furthered her education studying to become a Licensed Practical Nurse. She worked at DDSO IRA's, providing care to those with developmental disabilities, until her retirement in 2012.

On January 16, 1965, Donna was united in marriage with Donald I. Potter, at a private ceremony in Utica, a loving and devoted union of 30 years, until Donald’s passing in 1995.  Donna was a loving and dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed making home cooked meals, full of love for her family and never missed a chance to host a Sunday dinner or holiday meal.

She is survived by her children, Donald I. Potter, Lorie L. Decker, and Brad A. Potter; beloved grandchildren, Daniel and Donna Decker, Stephen Potter, and Molly and Joshua Potter; Great grandchildren, Rae Lynn and Jackson Potter, Collin Decker, and Wesley and Kinzleigh Basi.

The family would like to offer their heartfelt  gratitude to the nurses and aides of Bethany Gardens Rehabilitation Center 2nd floor Unit, for the loving care shown to Donna and her family during this difficult time.  Your kindness will never be forgotten.

In keeping with Donna’s wishes, services and Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
