Obituary of Richard T Spencer

Richard T. Spencer, 67, of Post Street, passed away peacefully at home after a brief illness. He was born on October 17, 1945 in Utica, the son of Thomas and Gladys (Bielawski) Spencer. Rich grew up in Utica and graduated from UFA. On November 22, 1969, he married Geraldine LoMedico at St. Anthony's Church. Rich had a long career as a machinist. He loved to go hunting, fishing and boating and was also a fan of the New York Yankees and football. Most of all, Rich enjoyed spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife, Geraldine of Clinton; his mother, Gladys Spencer of Clark Mills; four children and their families, Susanne and Charlie Divine of Clinton and their children, Lees and Katherine; Thomas and Tracey Spencer of Willard, NC and their children, Samuel, Madeline and Anthony; Michael Spencer of Charlotte, SC; and Michelle and Tom Wurz of Rocky Point, NC and their children, Aidan and Ryan and Jenny, Matthew and Kaleigh; his sister, Patricia Buornat of Clark Mills; his special cousin who was like a brother, Martin and Carol Spencer; and his lifelong friends, Kenny and Lena West. He was predeceased by his father. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:30am Thursday, October 3, 2013 at St. Mary's Church, Clinton with burial at Calvary Cemetery. All are invited to call Wednesday from 4-7pm at Owens-Pavlot & Rogers Funeral Service, Inc, 35 College St., Clinton.
