Obituary of Roger Krol

Roger Krol, 78, of Madison, NY, passed away on Sunday, May 26, 2024. 

He was born in Rochester, NY to Edwin and Josephine Dziubal Krol on March 21, 1946.  He moved to Oriskany Falls in 1964, where he initially worked at his family’s business, Joe’s Hotel.  He married Susan R. Wester on December 23, 1967.  He was a long time employee of Eastern Rock Products, later Hansen Inc., of Oriskany Falls, NY, spending the majority of those years as a member of the sales team.  He was later employed by Ocuto Blacktop and Paving of Rome, NY until his retirement. He was a member of the Oriskany Falls Fire Department and a former member of the Oriskany Falls Alliance Masonic Lodge #1097.  He will be remembered for his love of all things sports, especially his beloved Syracuse Orangemen.  His smile and laugh, as well as the occasional Tarzan call, always made him the life of the party.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Susan, his daughter and son in-law, Kara and Joseph Lombardo, his beloved grandson Joseph John (J.J.) Lombardo, his nieces Tracy (Steven) Kulyk, Jody (Roger) Brouillette, and Meaghan Halloran, his nephews James (Natalie) Wester and Timothy (Beth) Halloran, great nieces Brianne Barnes, Stephanie Kulyk, Michelle Kulyk, and Molly Halloran, great nephews Graeme Crowley, Brent Barnes and Ryan Halloran, and his brother in law Barry Halloran. He was predeceased by his parents, Edwin and Josephine, his brother Richard, his brother in law James “Butch” Wester, and his sister in law Karan “Bootsie” Halloran.

In keeping with Roger’s wishes, there will be no funeral services and interment will be private.  Please consider a donation in Roger’s memory to the Oriskany Falls Fire Department or the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
