Obituary of Joyce E. Joseph

Joyce E. Joseph, 81, of Clark Mills, passed away May 24, 2024 at Rome Hospital. 

 

She was born in Boonville on May 22, 1943, the daughter of Seymour and Marian (Fox) Barringer.  She was united in marriage to Nediem A. Joseph, September 26, 1970. Joyce worked at NYS Psychiatric Center for many years.  

 

Joyce was generous and loving.  She was always willing to volunteer her skills and help those in need.  She was a member of the Leatherstocking Art Club and the CSEA Retirees serving as Secretary, where she built strong decade long friendships. Joyce loved all animals, especially her cats and dogs. She enjoyed quiet times knitting and loved to cook Lebanese food and cheesecakes for family and friends.  Her memory will be cherished by her family.

 

She is survived by her loving family.  Husband, Ned Joseph; her  daughter and son-in-law, Lori and Joe Dellerba of Boonville; her son Jerry Mullen of Florida; a bonus daughter Cherie Ball; her grandchildren, Danielle (Colin) Mullen, Brandon (Kassandra) Mullen, Karen (Ronnie) Regan, and Emily (Colin) Padron; seven great-grandchildren; her brothers and sister, Harland (Joan) Barringer, Garry (Donna) Barringer, June (Don) Barringer, and Robert Barringer; brother-in-laws, Paul Joseph (Patricia), John Joseph; many nieces and nephews including a special niece Kaytee(Leon) Howe. She was predeceased by her parents and her sister Gail Marrotta.

 

All are invited to call Friday, May 31, 2024 from 10am – 12pm at Owens-Pavlot & Rogers to pay their respects to Joyce’s family.  She will be laid to rest in a private service at Kirkland Cemetery.
